Even and odd functions similar in the way that they have to pass the V-line test to be a function. They are different in the way that even reflects over the way y-axis while odd is the opposite over the y-axis. Once the equation is graphed you go to the table of the graph and you should be able to obtain the information on whether it is a even or odd function, for even the graph should work with the function f(x)=f(-x). The odd graph should work with the function f(-x)=-f(x) Any graph that appears to be reflected over the y axis will be an even function while any graph that appears to be the opposite over the y axis will be an odd function.
